Bulacan wins big in Good Financial Housekeeping

CITY OF MALOLOS- The Province of Bulacan took a winning sweep as the Provincial Government of Bulacan, 21 municipalities and three cities were conferred the 2019 Good Financial Housekeeping by the Department of the Interior and Local Government. The passing Local Government Units managed to comply with the Full Disclosure Policy or the posting of financial documents in three conspicuous places and in the FDP Portal for CY 2018 all quarters and CY 2019 1st quarter posting period documents; and their most recent available COA Audit Opinion is Unqualified or Qualified for CYs 2017 and 2018. Governor Daniel R. Fernando congratulated all the three cities and 21 towns of Bulacan for complying and passing the DILG’s standards and said that transparency is the key to a great leadership. According to the Official List of Passers released by the DILG, 89 percent or 1,522 out of the 1,706 assessed LGUs passed the criteria. Financial Housekeeping, together with Disaster Preparedness, Social Protection, Peace and Order, Business Friendliness and Competitiveness, Environmental Protection and Tourism, Culture and the Arts, are the criteria in awarding the Seal of Good Local Governance to LGUs.###
