CITY OF MALOLOS- The Province of Bulacan initially inoculated 1,000 construction and manufacturing industry workers with Sinovac vaccines as part of the 10,000 target vaccinees in line with the commitment of the National Employment Recovery Strategy (NERS) Task Force to facilitate vaccines for workers under the “Reform. Rebound. Recover: 1 Million Jobs for 2021” project.
During the kickoff program held at the Hiyas ng Bulacan Convention Center in this city yesterday, Governor Daniel R. Fernando said that such programs will signal the recovery of the local and national economy.
For his part, Department of Labor and Employment Usec. Benjo Santos M. Benavidez appealed to the workers, especially those in the construction industry to be vaccinated because vaccines are free, safe, and effective.
Benavidez said.
The remaining unvaccinated construction and manufacturing workers will be vaccinated with COVID-19 vaccines that will be available on their scheduled date.
The “Reform. Rebound. Recover: 1 Million Jobs for 2021” project aims to immediately source Filipino talents for deployment in the construction, manufacturing, particularly semiconductors and electronics, tourism and hospitality, and export industries, under a policy environment that would help create jobs all over the country. ###
