Bulacan to test effectiveness of service drop box system to avoid physical or face-to-face contact
CITY OF MALOLOS – For four days starting today, the Provincial Government of Bulacan will test the effectiveness of the service drop box system to continue serving the Bulakenyos in need without having physical or face-to-face transactions.
This was implemented through a memorandum and in accordance with Executive Order No. 9 Series of 2021 issued by Gov. Daniel R. Fernando that adopts and implements the IATF Resolution No. 104 Series of 2021 following the announcement of Malacañang that placed Bulacan under general community quarantine (GCQ) status from March 22 to April 4, 2021 due to resurgence of COVID-19 cases in the country.
Fernando said that the Capitol’s doors are closed but it is still open to serve wherein Bulakenyos in need are allotted a specific area at the back of the building with tents and chairs where their different concerns will be attended to.
Said action was executed to protect the public as well as the employees from acquiring the deadly virus.
“Sa pamamagitan nito ay sisikapin nating maipagkaloob pa rin ang paglilingkod na hindi muna magkakaroon ng physical contact o face-to-face transaction ang kliyente at mga kawani ng tanggapang nagkakaloob ng serbisyo,” Fernando said.
According to the memo, every office will provide a transparent drop box with proper label where various requests and documents will be placed and these drop boxes will be put at the tables located at the back of the Capitol, which is the waiting area for all Bulakenyos.
Also, the use of modern technology and/or any social media platforms to promote awareness about the available services of the PGB is encouraged.
After the first phase of implementation, an assessment will be conducted to determine the next step.
Moreover, the People’s Governor reiterated to strictly implement the minimum public health standards.
“Mag-ingat po tayong lahat. ‘Wag po tayong magpaka kampante dahil tumataas po ang kaso hindi po bumababa. Huwag nating ipagwalang bahala ang mga isinakripisyo na natin noong nakaraang taon at patuloy po tayong magdasal,” Fernando said.
Meanwhile, the NCR plus bubble that is being enforced in Metro Manila, Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, and Rizal are areas where entry and exit points are restricted except for essential travels and emergencies and as long as the travel is within the NCR bubble. ###
