CITY OF MALOLOS – Governor Daniel R. Fernando will lead the Bulakenyos in lighting up the giant Christmas tree in the opening of “Paskong Bulacan at Pag-iilaw ng Krismas Tree” this Monday, December 6, 2021 at 6:00 pm at the Gen. Gregorio Del Pilar Park, Antonio S. Bautista, Provincial Capitol Compound in this city.
Standing 30-foot high, the Christmas tree will be decorated with 200 star lanterns wherein its frames are made of round bars covered with plastic vinyl.
There are eight colors of star lanterns including yellow, green, red, pink, orange, white, violet and blue adorned with incandescent bulb Light Emitting Diodes (LED).
As an additional attraction in the Capitol premises, the designers of the said giant Christmas tree namely Wendell Dungca, Mark Lhen Flores and Allan Garcia also put up beautiful and brilliant three-piece star lanterns in each post around the area with a total of 48 pieces.
Prior to the simple and short program for the Christmas tree lighting, Hiyas ng Bulacan Provincial Band, Himig ng Bulakenyo and other Bulakenyo singers will serenade the Bulakenyos at 5:30 pm.
“Sabay-sabay po nating tunghayan ang taunang pagbubukas ng Paskong Bulacan na hudyat ng masaya at maluwalhating panahon ng Kapaskuhan para sa mga Bulakenyo sa kabila ng kinakaharap nating pandemya,” Fernando said.
Meanwhile, there is a strict reminder to the attendees to follow the minimum public health protocols and to not take for granted the risk of COVID-19. ###
