Bulacan moves to a more lax Alert Level 2

CITY OF MALOLOS- The Province of Bulacan will have a more lax quarantine restriction as the whole province reverts to Alert Level 2 starting today, February 1 to 15, 2022.

According to Executive Order no. 5, series of 2022 or “An order adopting the implementation of Alert Level 2 in the Province of Bulacan from 01 until 15 of February 2022 and for other purposes” by Governor Daniel R. Fernando, it states that activities and establishments can operate up to 50% of their indoor capacity and 70% of their outdoor venue capacity.

In addition, fully vaccinated individuals must present their vaccination card upon entry to enclosed establishments or activities, while unvaccinated and incompletely vaccinated individuals need to present a negative rapid antigen or RT-PCR test result within the last 72 hours.

Fernando continuously reminds Bulakenyos to follow minimum public health protocols at all times as well as be vaccinated because it is the most proven way to lessen the risk of acquiring COVID-19.

“Congratulations po sa inyo dahil babalik na po tayong muli sa Alert Level 2. Ibig sabihin nito, ang mga Bulakenyo ay patuloy na nag-iingat at patuloy na nagiging disiplinado,” the governor said during the distribution of rice subsidy in Bustos, Bulacan yesterday.

He also said that the province is waiting for the directive from the national government and Inter-Agency Task Force on COVID-19 to vaccinate 5 to 11-year-old children.

“Hindi pa po pinapayagan sa ating lalawigan ang face-to-face classes lalo na sa elementary education, sapagkat kailangan nating protektahan ang ating mga anak. Kailangang sila ay ligtas sa pagbalik nila sa eskwelahan,” the governor added.

As of January 24, 2022, Bulacan has administered a total of 4,217,181 doses of COVID-19 vaccine; 1,955,905 Bulakenyos are fully vaccinated while 1,998,958 received their first dose.
Also, 262,318 are vaccinated with booster shots.

Meanwhile, as of January 31, the Provincial Health Office-Public Health reported 3,779 total number of active cases with additional 25 fresh cases and 136 late cases.
