Bulacan leaders to take oath together, signal new era of public service

CITY OF MALOLOS – A new chapter for Bulacan begins this Sunday as newly elected and re-elected officials, spearheaded by Governor Daniel R. Fernando and Vice Governor Alexis C. Castro, will simultaneously take their oath of office in the “Pasinaya at Pagtatalaga sa Tungkulin ng Lahat ng Bagong Halal na Opisyal sa Lalawigan ng Bulacan” ceremony set for 9:00 AM at the Bulacan Capitol Gymnasium.

Executive Judge Hermenegildo C. Dumlao II will administer the oath for the province’s two highest-ranking officials while Fernando will lead the swearing-in of a formidable roster of leaders, including seven congressmen, 14 board members, 24 mayors, 24 vice mayors, and all city and municipal councilors across Bulacan. This unified oath-taking underscores a collective commitment to the province’s future.

Entering his third term, Fernando expressed strong optimism for the coming three years, anticipating significant progress and development for Bulacan and urged his fellow public servants to uphold the trust placed in them by their constituents through dedicated service.

“Ipagpatuloy pa natin ang ating misyong paglingkuran at mahalin ang ating mga kapwa Bulakenyo, nang lahat tayo ay magtulungan para sa patuloy na pag-level up ng ating mahal na lalawigan,” Fernando stated, highlighting a collaborative vision for Bulacan’s advancement.

Fernando’s extensive career in public service spans decades, starting as Chairman of the Barangay Youth Council (1981-1984), then serving as Provincial Board Member for Bulacan’s 2nd District (2001), Vice Governor (2010-2019), and ultimately becoming the 35th Governor of the Province since 2019.

He is widely recognized for his People’s Agenda 10, a flagship program that consistently prioritizes and shows his devotion to duty by putting the people first. ###
