Bulacan inaugurates Second Malasakit Center
CITY OF MALOLOS- The Provincial Government of Bulacan headed by Governor Daniel R. Fernando and the Municipal Government of Santa Maria headed by Mayor Russell Pleyto inaugurated the 2nd Malasakit Center in the province located in Rogaciano M. Mercado Memorial Hospital in Santa Maria, Bulacan kahapon.
Fernando thanked President Rodrigo Roa Duterte and Senator Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go for the support given to the Province of Bulacan through the Malasakit Centers.
“Nagpapasalamat tayo sa napapanahong paglulunsad ng Malasakit Center dito po sa ating district hospital dahil nangangahulugan ito na mas maraming Bulakenyo ang mabibigyan ng angkop na lunas sa kanilang karamdaman ng hindi po nangangamba sa kakulangan ng pambayad o pantustos dito,” the governor said.
As Senate Committe on Health Chairman, Sen. Go, who was virtually present on the event via Zoom application, said that he will push health programs for the benefit of all the Filipinos.
“Ang mga Pilipino, hindi na sila kailangang pumila ng mahaba, isang araw lang po, nandito lang po sa isang kuwarto ang apat na ahensya ng gobyerno. Ang Malasakit Center ay para sa Pilipino, inyo po iyan, pera ninyo po iyan,” Sen. Go said.
The senator also said that the president allocated a replenishable amount of P5 milion for the newly-inaugurated Malasakit Center.
The Malasakit Center is a program of the government which aims to serve as a one-stop shop of Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO), Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR), Department of Social Welfare and Development Office (DSWD), Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (Philhealth) and Department of Health (DOH) to hasten the delivery of medical services and give poor patients access to free medicines.
The RMMMH Malasakit Center is the 78th in the Philippines, 4th in the region, and 2nd in the province.
The first Malasakit Center in the province located in Bulacan Medical Center in the City of Malolos has been serving Bulakenyos since December 2018.
