Bulacan implements stricter mass gathering requirements as Fernando issues EO No. 2, s. 2021
CITY OF MALOLOS- Organizers in the province must now seek for the approval of the Bulacan Provincial Task Force (PTF) on COVID-19 Response headed by Governor Daniel R. Fernando prior to the conduct of any mass gathering as the Local Chief Executive signed Executive Order No. 2, series of 2021 yesterday.
According to the EO, in order to consider the application for the approval of the conduct of any mass gathering, organizers are required to submit at least 10 calendar days before the intended date of the event, a letter addressed to the Provincial PTF on COVID-19 Response clearly stating the nature and purpose of the mass gathering and seeking approval for its conduct.
The organizer must also submit a sworn statement stating that he or she is the responsible individual, and that under the pain of penalty imposed by applicable laws, must ensure that the mass gathering will be limited only to 50% of the seating or venue capacity.
In addition, an after-activity report must be submitted by the organizer within five days from the conduct of the event.
According to the governor, the issued EO is another step of the province to avoid further spread of the contagious disease that paralyzed the whole world.
“Hindi po tayo dapat na kumampante. Kasabay ng patuloy na pagbaba ng kaso ng COVID sa ating lalawigan, ilang lugar dito sa ating bansa ay nakararanas ng muling pagtaas ng kaso lalo na matapos ang panahon ng Kapaskuhan. Upang maiwasan ang ganitong sitwasyon, hinihiling ko po ang mahigpit na pagsunod nating lahat,” Fernando said.
