CITY OF MALOLOS – Through the Resolution No. 478-T’18, the Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Bulacan has approved the Provincial Ordinance No. 62-2018 or “Isang Kautusan na Naggagawad at Nagbibigay ng Kaluwagan (Tax Amnesty) sa Lahat ng Mamamayan sa Kanilang mga Buwis sa Ari-ariang Di-natitinag (Real Property Tax) sa Pamamagitan ng Pag-alis o Pagbawas ng Interes o Penalty”, which will take effect from October 19, 2018 to March 31, 2019.
Based on the Provincial Tax Amnesty Ordinance of 2018, the tax amnesty covers delinquent real property taxes for the years 2017 and below in all the 21 towns of Bulacan except for the Cities of Malolos, Meycauayan and San Jose del Monte.
Partial payment will also be accepted for the delinquent real property tax that will be deducted from the outstanding obligation and any remaining balance at the end of the effectivity of the tax amnesty will have the corresponding interest.
According to Acting Governor Daniel R. Fernando, the Tax Amnesty Ordinance is the result of the request and proposal of Gov. Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado sent to the Sangguniang Panlalawigan.
“Lubos na napinsala ng mga nagdaang bagyo at Habagat ang ating lalawigan na nagresulta sa pagkasira ng maraming pananim at produktong agrikultural. Ang tax amnesty na ito ay isang paraan ng Pamahalaang Panlalawigan upang bigyang luwag sa pagbabayad ng buwis ang ating mga kalalawigan.”, the acting governor said.
He also reminded the taxpayers to pay their real property taxes on time to avoid fines and penalties.
