CITY OF MALOLOS – The pouring of good news is not over yet for Bulacan as Gov. Daniel R. Fernando announced more positive updates regarding the upcoming plans and projects for the province during the Monday Flag Raising Ceremony held at the Bulacan Capitol Gymnasium in this city yesterday.
These include Provincial Housing Project, health facilities enhancement program particularly the upgrading of hospitals’ equipment, construction of high-rise buildings and world class hotels and the soon to launch Anti-Littering Enforcers.
Fernando asked the help of Filipino architect and urban planner Felino A. Palafox, Jr. for the master development plan of the province.
He also called for unity among the local government units in Bulacan to implement their integrated and improved plans to avoid pitfalls of future rapid urbanization.
The governor has also discussed and requested to the National Housing Authority recently to award the available units to informal settlers from Bulacan.
“By next year kung hindi nila ito maibibigay sa atin, 2021 magpapabadyet tayo sa ating Budget Officer, provincial housing project natin, gagawing project natin para sa walang bahay, kung hindi ito matutupad ng NHA, magpapasuporta tayo sa NHA na condo type para maraming mailagay para matugunan ang mga humihingi ng bahay, lalo na ang mga dine-demolish ngayon dahil sa ginagawang kalsada,” the People’s Governor said.
Meanwhile, he congratulated and thanked all the concerned agencies, officials and personnel who worked and participated during the Opening of the Southeast Asian Games held at the Philippine Arena in Bocaue.
He also called for an emergency meeting with the heads of concerned PGB offices to discuss the contingency plan since Typhoon “Tisoy” is expected to hit the province.
Also, Fernando introduced the new Bulacan Provincial Director Emma Libunao to the Bulakenyos and led the mass oathtaking of different organizations from the province.
