Boy/Girl officials take a dip in public service

BOY GOVERNOR. Bulacan Gov. Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado turns over the ceremonial key to his counterpart Boy Official Dariel Jay A. Escobedo from San Jose Del Monte National High School during the Monday Flag ceremony in line with the celebration of Linggo ng Kabataan held at the Bulacan Capitol Gymnasium this morning. 

CITY OF MALOLOS – Sixty two boy/girl officials officially dipped their feet in public service as they took their oath of office before Gov. Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado as counterparts of provincial officials and department heads during the Flag Raising Ceremony at Bulacan Capitol Gymnasium early today in this city.

As part of the celebration of Linggo ng Kabataan, these Bulakenyo youth will serve as public officials for five days.

“Let’s teach them to do what is right. Maging mabuting halimbawa tayo sa kanila kung paano nga ba dapat gampanan ang ating mga tungkulin bilang mga lingkod bayan”, Alvarado said.

Dariel Jay A. Escobedo from San Jose Del Monte National High School was elected as the governor while Maria Alyssa Janella V. Calma from St. Mary’s Academy of Sto. Nino was voted to be the counterpart of Vice Gov. Daniel R. Fernando.

The said program is made possible by the Provincial Government of Bulacan through the Provincial Youth, Sports, Employment and Development Office, in accordance to the Presidential Proclamation No. 99 series of 1992.

Meanwhile, the governor announced that December 8 is a holiday in the City of Malolos as it marks the celebration of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception, their patron saint.
