CITY OF MALOLOS- The Provincial Government of Bulacan will recognize top 12 cooperatives in the ‘Natatanging Bayanihan ng Kooperatiba sa Panahon ng Pandemya’ to culminate the celebration of Cooperative Month on November 12, 2020 to be held online.
According to the Provincial Cooperative and Enterprise Development Office (PCEDO), the program is in lieu of the Annual Gawad Galing Kooperatiba which aims to document and recognize cooperatives who responded to the call of the national government, particularly the Bayanihan to Heal as One and to continue the tradition of recognizing the significant contributions of cooperative in economic advancement and participation to community development.
Governor Daniel R. Fernando said that recognizing those who have helped the government in aiding their fellow Bulakenyos during this most difficult time are worth more than the award.
“Hindi sapat ang pasasalamat, hindi sapat ang award para sa lahat ng nagmamagandang loob na tumulong sa kapwa, pero Diyos na ang bahalang gumanti sa kanilang lahat. Ngunit ginagawa natin ito para kahit papaano maka-inspire, maka-motivate pa, na mapaalala sa kanila na ‘yung ginagawa nila ay may kinapupuntahan at may mga taong na-iinspire din na gayahin sila kahit mahirap ang buhay,” Fernando said.
Prior to this, the Province of Bulacan bagged the Overall Champion title in the 7th Central Luzon Regional Kooplympics Online Edition where PCEDO was also recognized as the supportive agency and supportive cooperative council held last October 16-30, 2020.
Moreover, the Cooperative Development Authority also recognized 64 cooperatives in Bulacan during the virtual awarding or recognition of cooperatives who responded to pandemic for the CDA Gawad Parangal.
Bulacan has also participated in the Virtual MOA Signing of Koop Kapatid Program and PopCom, Skills and Professional Enhancement Webinar for Cooperative Development Office, Online Registration Webinar for Cooperative Development Officers, Business Opportunity Webinar; initiated the Provincial Forum on most recent Implementing Rules and Regulations of the CDA, Cooperative Photo Exhibit of cooperative activities during lockdowns and community quarantine, and the Tatak Bulakenyo Trade Fair of fresh and processed products of SMEs and cooperatives at Robinson’s Place Malolos, Bulacan. ###
