Associate Justice Arcega to join Bulakenyos in the commemoration of the 127th Anniversary of the Malolos Congress

CITY OF MALOLOS – The Province of Bulacan will once again pay tribute to one of the most defining moments in Philippine history as it observes the 127th Anniversary of the Malolos Congress on September 15, 2025, 8 am, at the historic grounds of Barasoain Church in this city with Associate Justice Theresa V. Mendoza-Arcega as the guest of honor and speaker.

Associate Justice Arcega will be joined by Governor Daniel R. Fernando alongside Vice Governor Alexis C. Castro, City of Malolos Mayor Christian D. Natividad, and PBGEN Ponce Rogelio I. Penones, Jr., Regional Director of Police Regional Office 3.

With the theme “Kalayaan, Kinabukasan, Kasaysayan.”, the program will include a wreath-laying ceremony and a formal program, honoring the contributions of the forefathers of Philippine liberty. The Malolos Congress, first convened in 1898, was a historic assembly of Filipino leaders that drafted and ratified the Malolos Constitution, the first republican constitution in Asia, and laid the foundation of the First Philippine Republic.
