Alvarado underscores the importance of unity and concern for the environment to achieve progress

CITY OF MALOLOS – Bulacan Gov. Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado emphasized during the Governor’s Ball and Cultural Show 2019 held at the Gawad Kalinga Enchanted Farm in Brgy. Encanto, Angat, Bulacan recently the importance of unity and concern for the environment.

In his message delivered by Provincial Administrator Eugenio Payongayong, the governor said that it is high time that all stakeholders act as one instead of acting in haste.

“Your humble servant is resolute that it is only through unity that we may steadfastly act and make our efforts more meaningful, particularly those that are aimed in promoting socio-economic growth and a balanced ecology in accord with nature’s rhythm and harmony,” Alvarado said.

He added that at present, he is earnestly exerting his effort to ameliorate the standard of living of Bulakenyos through implementation of worthy programs in education, livelihood and peace and order in the belief that those are the keys for the province to attain peace, orderliness and development.

Also, anchored on the theme “Barangay Walang Iwanan 2019: Transforming Communities Towards Zero Exclusion, Carbon Poverty”, the governor said that he is intensifying his campaign to preserve and conserve the environment and natural resources through programs that will promote cleanliness and orderliness in every community in the province.

He is also pushing for recycling of materials that will not only lessen the volume of garbage, but can also be an alternative source of income.

Meanwhile, Executive Director of Gawad Kalinga Community Development Foundation Inc. Jose Luis Oquiñena thanked the Provincial Government of Bulacan headed by Alvarado for its unwavering support in GK activities for six years now.

“Between GK at Bulacan, walang iwanan,” Oquiñena said.
