CITY OF MALOLOS – Gov. Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado reported on his State of the Province Address (SOPA) that he was able to fulfill his promise of strengthening the middle class through programs that will uplift their livelihood.
In his SOPA held yesterday at the Bulwagang Senador Benigno S. Aquino Jr. in Capitol Building in this city, Alvarado reported the aids that were given by the Provincial Government of Bulacan through the Provincial Cooperative and Enterprise Development Office, Provincial Agriculture Office and Provincial Youth, Sports, Employment and Development Office.
“Nakapagbigay ang PCEDO ng tulong pinansiyal sa may 278 kooperatiba o/at asosasyon na nagkakahalaga ng mahigit P18.9 milyon sa ilalim ng Tulong ni Gob. sa Negosyo ng Koop Program (NegosKoop) at loan assistance sa mahigit 200 MSEs na umabot sa P6.98 milyon,” Alvarado said.
The governor added that the Bulacan Packaging Service and Toll Packing Center was able to help more than 800 MSEs/cooperatives in the province.
Meanwhile, in the field of agriculture, PAO was able to provide inputs like fingerlings to more than 3,700 fishermen, as well as seedlings and fertilizers that benefited around 52,600 farmers.
Also, PAO supported 482 associations of farmers in terms of small scale irrigation and post-harvest machineries.
Meanwhile, more than 11,500 Bulakenyos were given instant jobs during the job fairs, daily referrals, and recruitment activities of the PGB through PYSEDO.
Moreover, more than 43,700 benefited from the skills training organized by PYSEDO that aims to enhance the skills of Bulakenyos.
