CITY OF MALOLOS – Bulacan Gov. Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado lauded the 685 graduates of the Summer Sports Clinic 2017 of the Provincial Government of Bulacan and their parents during its Mass Graduation Ceremony held at the Bulacan Capitol Gymnasium in this city, this morning.

Alvarado also encouraged the Bulakenyo youths who were among the 685 graduates of the said Sports Clinic to always do their best, in and out of the playing court, and pursue careers that will make them good citizens and make their home province proud of their achievements.

According to Alvarado, each child has learned a lot about sportsmanship and teamwork while having fun through the coaches that serve as their second parents during this year’s summer vacation.

“Ang buhay ay may mga ups at downs, gayundin may mga joys at frustrations with the challenges, subalit ang importante sa lahat ay ang matutunan ang sportsmanship,” Alvarado said.

He also said that PGB is starting them young by providing them with venues and scientific ways on how to play their respective discipline and come out with the best experience.

“Ang ginagawa po natin itong isang hardin upang pagtaniman ng mga aspirasyon ng mga lunggati ang ating mga kabataan, alam po natin na magiging tungtungan nila ito para sa isang mataas na antas ng buhay na magbibigay ng karangalan hindi lamang sa ating pamilya at sarili kundi pati sa ating bayan at bansang Pilipinas na mailalagay sa ating bandera na magiging kalugud-lugod sa pananaw ng ating Panginoon,” the governor said.

The said graduates received certificate of completion while 247 participants were awarded for the following events: Aikido, Athletics (run, jump and throw), Badminton, Basketball, Volleyball, Taekwondo, Chess, Lawn Tennis, Gymnastics, Football and Swimming.

The event was made possible through the Provincial Youth, Sports, Employment and Development Office (PYSEDO) in partnership with the Bulacan Sports Council Federation, Inc.
