CITY OF MALOLOS – After the meticulous planning and preparation for the arrival of the vaccines, the Department of Health Regional Office III have allotted 900 doses of COVID-19 vaccines from the drugmaker Sinovac Biotech to the Provincial Government of Bulacan today.
The vaccines were transported to the province’s designated cold storage room located at the Isidoro Torres Hall at the Hiyas ng Bulacan Convention Center where the main vaccination center is also placed.
Included in the top priority recipients of the vaccines are the 833 health workers from the Bulacan Medical Center wherein 86% of them already ‘said yes’ to receive the vaccine while the remaining vaccines will be allotted to health workers from district hospitals and Provincial Health Office-Public Health (PHO-PH) staff.
Bulacan Gov. Daniel R. Fernando said that the PGB is aiming to inoculate a total of 300 individuals per day.
“Lahat ng mga plano na inihanda ng ating lalawigan ay unti-unti nang maisasakatuparan. Sa pagdating po ng mga COVID-19 vaccine, inaasahan na makakapagbakuna ng may kabuuang 300 indibidawal bawat araw sa tulong ng ating mga itinalagang vaccination teams. Magtiwala po tayo sa Maykapal at humingi ng gabay para sa kaligtasan at ikabubuti ng ating mga kalalawigan at ng buong bansa,” the governor said.
The schedule of vaccination will start on Monday, March 8, 2021; hence the PHO-PH is continuously conducting information drive to encourage Bulakenyos especially the health workers and frontliners to be vaccinated.
Safety marshals and officers will also be present at the vaccination center to assist the individuals who will receive the vaccines and to maintain orderliness at the venue.
Recently, the Central Luzon Center for Health Development representatives visited the province to assess the vaccination plan prepared by the PGB and commended its readiness for the arrival of the vaccines. ###
