200 Bulakenyos, tourists to join the 1st Bulacan Tourism Duathlon

CITY OF MALOLOS – More or less 200 Bulakenyos and tourists are expected to join the 1st Bulacan Tourism Duathlon on September 27, 2015 which will start and end at Royal Northwoods Golf Club in Coral na Bato after passing Brgy. Maronquillo, San Rafael, Bulacan.

Isagani Giron, president of the Saling Lahi Inc., said that aside from team Bulacan, other teams such as Godspeed, Kenyo, Lakan Tri, Solid Tri will also participate in the said race.

The 4 km run-25 km bike-4 km run distance will showcase the famous and beautiful landscapes of Royal Northwoods Golf Club and El Masfino Club & Hotel.

Gov. Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado said the event is a good opportunity to create awareness among Bulakenyos and to promote to tourists the scenic places in the province.

“Ilan lang ito sa mga inisyatiba ng Pamahalaang Panlalawigan ng Bulacan sa pamamagitan ng Provincial History, Arts, Culture and Tourism Office (PHACTO) at sa pakikipagtulungan ng mga nagmamalasakit na samahan upang bigyan ng panibagong sigla ang turismo sa Bulacan at pagkakakilanlan ng mga mamamayan na may malusog na pangangatawan at may malasakit sa kalikasan,” Alvarado said.

Interested participants will have to pay a registration fee of P1,000.

Top finishers will be awarded with medals and trophies while all participants will be given a racer kit each.
