1,814 Bulakenyos receive financial assistance from DOLE, DOT

CITY OF MALOLOS- A total of 1,814 Bulakenyos affected by the pandemic received cash aid under the financial assistance program of the Department of Tourism (DOT) and Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) during the “COVID-19 Adjustment Measures Program (CAMP) Awarding of Beneficiaries” held at the Bulacan Capitol Gymnasium in this city recently.

Each beneficiary included in the group of workers from tourism establishment, organization and association in Bulacan received P5,000.

Governor Daniel R. Fernando represented by Provincial Administrator Antonette V. Constantino, Regional Director Carolina DG. Uy of DOT III and Regional Director Geraldine M. Panlilion of DOLE III led the distribution of financial aid.

Inc. / Food Master Tricycle Operators & Drivers Assn. Inc., Marilao Marwadis Sandico TODA Inc., BNN TODA Inc., M.T.M.G TODA, Rough Road TODA Inc, Sapang Kawayan Matictic TODA, Sulit TODA, Trisha and Oscar’s Beauty Salon, Bagong Barrio Multi-Purpose Cooperative, Bunsuran 3rd Manatal Bagbaguin TODA, Bunsuran, Masuso, Masagana, Cupang, Sto Niño TODA (BMMCS TODA), CCB Padre Pio NHA TODA Pandi Bulacan Inc., Kalye Andress TODA, Mapulang Lupa, MITAY, Bagong Barrio, NHA Tricycle Operators and Drivers Association, Pandi Tricycle Operators And Drivers Association Inc., RDC NHA TODA Pandi Bulacan Inc., Siling Bata Cacarong Malawak Real TODA, Paombong Market TODA (PM TODA) Inc., PB TODA, Pulo San Roque Tricycle Operators and Drivers Association Inc. and STRODA TODA Bulakenyo.

“Patuloy po ang ating gobyerno sa pag-aabot ng kamay at tulong sa mga apektadong manggagawa sa turismo at mga displaced worker. Asahan po ninyong aming ipatutupad ang mga programa, proyekto at pakikipag-ugnayan sa mga kinauukulang ahensya upang kayo ay masuportahan sa panahong ito,” Fernando said.

Based on the records of PHACTO, more than 16,000 individuals in the province have received the said assistance.

Ramon Binuya, president of ASA TODA Baliwag from the tourism sector said, “malaki ang aming pasasalamat para sa agarang ayudang aming natanggap na makatutulong sa pantawid sa araw-araw na gastusin.”

Also, Red Jumaine Sanano of the Sining Tanglawan ng San Jose Del Monte expressed his gratitude to DOLE, DOT and PGB through Public Employment Service Office (PESO) for the said support because he was able to continue his studies amidst being unemployed due to the pandemic. ###
