CITY OF MALOLOS – An estimated number of 144,000 Bulakenyos showed their unwavering support for Governor Daniel R. Fernando and Vice President Maria Leonor “Leni” Robredo during the Republika 2.0 Tindig ng Bulakenyo Grand Rally held at the jampacked Bulacan Sports Complex, Sta. Isabel in this city yesterday.
During her speech, Robredo enumerated some of the Office of the Vice President’s programs in the Province of Bulacan including Angat Buhay’s adoption of the Doña Remedios Trinidad; and livelihood programs in the City of San Jose del Monte, Bocaue, Marilao, Plaridel, Pandi, Hagonoy, City of Malolos, City of Meycauayan, Pulilan, and San Ildefonso.
She also mentioned the aids extended by the OVP during the pandemic including distribution of PPE sets which were sewed by sewers from Santa Maria and San Rafael, medical supplies, and swabbing kits. The OVP also transferred funds to St. Paul Hospital of Bocaue and Meycauayan Doctors Hospital and Medical Center.
They are also active in the province for relief operations after devastations of Typhoons Ulysses and Ompong and Habagat in 2018.
Ang kasiguraduhan, resibo,” the vice president said.
For his part, Fernando commended the Bulakenyos for standing up for their beliefs.
He also answered the question on why he chose Leni.
Robredo was joined by Tropang Angat Senatoriables Chel Diokno, Teddy Baguilat, Alex Lacson, Sonny Matula, Sonny Trillanes, Dick Gordon, Risa Hontiveros represented by her nephew Luis Hontiveros, and Leila De Lima represented by Atty. Philip Sawali.
Meanwhile, Fernando was accompanied by his running mate Board Member Alexis Castro and the whole slate of the National Unity Party-Bulacan from congressmen, board members, mayors, vice mayors, and councilors.
The Republika 2.0 Tindig ng Bulakenyo Grand Rally showcased Bulacan’s rich arts and culture by featuring local artists, dancers, and musicians in addition to the star-studded line-up of volunteer artists from big networks in the country.
Also, to conclude the program, Bulacan wowed the audience with their grand pyrotechnic display and first-ever aero drone show. ###
