Brief description of the service
Case Tracking involves the documentation and monitoring of cases filed, in this case against elements involved in illegal drug use and trafficking. It involves three offices – the Philippine National Police, which makes the arrests; the Fiscal's Office, which prosecutes the cases; and the Regional Trial Court, which hears and decides on the cases. Case Tracking is important because it supports due process in the pursuit of justice for all concerned.

Data security and integrity is important in case tracking – documents should not be altered once they have been filed, information in these documents should not be changed. Users should also be able to find and retrieve case information easily and quickly. Transparency is also important for Case Tracking – information about the status of cases should be available to concerned parties and officials.

Brief description of the eGovernance Project
The Provincial Information Technology Office studied the flow of documents related to drug cases. They then designed modules to improve processes in the three user offices – the Police, the Fiscal's Office, and the Regional Trial Court. The PITO then built a system that now contains the following functionalities:

1)	For the PNP Module: Transactions, Search and Reports
2)	For the Fiscal's Module: Transactions, and Search and Reports
3)	For the RTC Module: Transactions, and Search and Reports
